Welcome to Abingdon Badminton Club website. On this site you can find information about the club itself, teams and match fixtures, club night and match venue locations and points of contact for more information. Club Nights: Every Thursday, 7:30pm to 10:30pm, school of St Helen & St Katharine in Abingdon (click here for directions). 2-4 courts depending on matches. Home Matches: Tuesdays from 7pm at the European School, Culham (click here for directions) or Thursdays from 7:30pm at the school of St Helen & St Katharine, Abingdon. 2008-2009 Season: Starts at St Helen & St Katharine school on Thursday 4th September 2007 and ends in April 2008. |

Most of you know that we will be welcoming members to our club from Didcot Power club. The committee decided to therefore also book 2 extra nights at St Helens in August 21st and 28th, so we can all get to know each other before the start of the season. This will be on a turn up and play basis for £4 a night, shuttles included. Matches: Preliminary fixture list here. 2008/9 Teams here. Christmas social: will be on the last club night of the year, 18th December ( Thursday at St Helen's) There is a 3-d B v C match that evening. The club will provide some FREE drinks, and could everyone bring a small plate of food ( crisps, sausage rolls, etc). We will just have a normal club night followed by food and drinks. Dates in the new year: The first club night will not be until 22nd January, as St Helen's will be using the hall for exams. Also there are no club nights on 19th and 26th Feb. The committee are looking into hiring other courts to make up for this, and if we get any I will let you all know.
We are a friendly club and we welcome new league standard members. Visitors please feel free to come along and join in to club nights. Just grab a peg and put yourself on the board! Alternatively email or call for more information. |
